RECYCLED CRAFTSway in the back of the cupboard, because you KNOW it will have a use someday. I have collections of this-n-that throughout the house...old stockings (dollheads), applesauce jars (paint and use for banks), tin cans (fill with water, freeze, then punch designs for nice luminarias to line the walk at night), spaghetti sauce jars (fill with colored lights and potpourri, and enjoy the scent and the beauty), and spray bottles (fill with water and food coloring, then let the kids "paint" the snow), just to name a few. It's an addiction of sorts, a nice challenge to dream up something new to create with the oddest of things. Try these sites, which include kids crafts, adult projects, and a whole plethora of ideas. I know you'll find some inspiration in these sites, and hopefully the inspiration will be contagious! Here are some sites: http://www.radicalmoon.ca/cr-4.htm, http://www.makestuff.com/tuna_cans.html, and http://www.gorgone.com/ppreuse.html. Just think, other than a whole pile of garbage, there's virtually nothing to lose, and everything to gain. You can dig deep within yourself and pull up some of that creativity that's just been lingering down there, spend time with you family, and look at the most common household items with a "new" set of eyes. And...you'll have a whole lot less to carry to the curb every week! Try it, you'll like it!!! And future generations will love you for it!
