This is a book review of Death by Inferior Design by Leslie Caine. It was an excellent book. Once I started reading it, I had a difficult time putting it down. You will enjoy getting to know Erin Gilbert and Steve Sullivan and what they experience throughout the book.

Erin Gilbert and Steve Sullivan were the main characters. They were interior designers and competitors. They were hired to design a couple of houses. However, they ran into some unexpected circumstances. Erin was adopted and wanted to know who her birth parents were, but she promised her adopted mother that she wouldn't try to locate them.

As Erin worked in the house where she was hired to redecorate, she found some baby pictures hidden inside a wall in the closet. When she looked at the pictures, she was shocked. She knew that the pictures were of her. She began to wonder who put them there and why. She thought that maybe the woman she was working for was her birth mother, but was she?

After that, a murder was committed in one of the houses. They first thought the man, Randy Axelrod, had a heart attack. Then the police found evidence that he was murdered. Erin believed that Randy was her birth father, and that his wife, Myra, was her birth mother. Erin continued her investigation of the crime and the search for her birth parents. Something else happened that caused doubts in Erin's mind as to the true identity of her birth parents. Finally, she confided in Steve Sullivan, whom she didn't care that much for at first because they were competitors. She told him that she had found her baby pictures hidden in the wall of the closet and that she believed her birth parents might be Myra and Randy Axelrod.

Later on, Myra and Erin sat on the sofa in Myra's living room and looked at Myra's photo albums. Erin thought about the pictures and tried to come up with clues about Randy's murder or her own life.

Suspense continued to build when Erin's life was threatened. Someone had been following her, but she didn't know who or why? You will have to read the book to find out what happens to Erin and who the murderer was.

This book was unique to because the author added interior design tips throughout the books. They were included as chapters in the book.

If you enjoy reading suspense books, you will enjoy reading this book. It is also the first book in a series.
