For those of you who noticed, I didn't get my article out last week. I was visited by the computer gremlins, and they played havoc with my system. This crash was a warning to me to always back up my data. As computer genealogists, there is a lot of family information that we have entrusted to our electronic wizards, so back up, back up, and back up again. Don't forget to back up all those bookmarks you have.
Cindy's List provides links to more African American Resources. I have found mailing lists to be a great resource of information. A mailing list for African-American roots is at Afrigeneas. Be sure to check out Christine's Genealogy Website. She has done an excellent job of providing information. Another mailing list can be found at East Coast African American Genealogists. Mailing lists are not only informative, but I have found them fun, too. Then, for some directed surfing, go to The African-American Genealogy Ring. I hope these sites lead you to some successful research. Until next week, happy hunting. HOT TIP OF THE WEEK: Records For Genealogy is a message board that links 300 million searchable records. NEXT WEEK: Researching Funeral Homes Go To Page: 1
