I was a little worried that the front garden might be destroyed as the contractors from the Gas Co. arrived to install a natural gas line to the house. My worries turned out to be ill founded, as they were the most efficient workers that I ever encountered.
They did almost everything from outside the garden and the two holes that they made in the path were filled in and concreted over within two hours. The whole operation was finished in one day with the road outside repaired the following morning. Everything was swept clean and only for the Gas meter one would hardly have known that they were there at all.
A suggestion I made that they take a Co. Council worker each week for training was rejected out of hand. I suppose you can't win them all
. Good gardening until next time.
