OCTOBER WINDS.

They were very impressed especially with my yellow Brachycalyx hybrids and one in particular with beautiful a frilled petal which was bred from frimbiata.

I have never had such a good flowering season as this with the hardy Cyclamen and cyclamen Graecum, which I attributing to the good summer. Cyclamen love a good baking in the summer providing that there is some moisture at the roots, and that is exactly what they got this year. All the forms of Mirabile are setting seed this year which is something that I have had a problem with other years, so obviously the weather plays some part in the process.

Speaking of the weather, the autumn has been just as good as the summer and there has been little or no rain for weeks, and when it does come it is usually at night so gardening can continue undisturbed for the time being.

Good gardening until next time.
