Roses for Thanksgivingof killing frost in your area. (Note that newly-planted or young roses should not be pruned.) This should be the last pruning of the season; once your roses enter the fall flush phase, stop deadheading and let the blooms go to seed and form hips to let your roses know that it's time to get ready for winter and go dormant. I'm fortunate enough to have a lot of things to be thankful for, and one of those things is living in such a beautiful place with such a mild climate. Being able to cut bouquets of roses or wander through a rose garden bursting with blooms in fall is a special thrill, a thrill you too can enjoy if you pick the right roses and prune them at the right time.
