Camellias and RhododendronsCheck out the site Down's Rhododendrons to see some of the wonderful colors and shapes this plant can develop. Rhododendrons can be a wonderful addition to your garden and now is a good time to plant them. The temperatures in Florida are mild enough to let them get a good start. Don't wait much past the middle of December, though, because the threat of a sudden frost will increase. Azaleas are members of the Rhododendron family. Since azaleas bloom most often in the spring I think I'll wax poetic about them in another column!
