Check out the Plant Image Gallery. While not strictly devoted to Florida, these scientists have put together an amazing list of plant images complete with their botanical names. There's no information about conditions the plants favor but I think if you see something you like, copy the name and ask about it at your local nursery or county extension office. A word of caution: choose your exotic plants carefully. Where possible select Florida native species. Introducing a lovely but non-native plant into your garden might have repercussions on other gardeners and plant species in your area. The seeds and pollen transported by the wind, small animals and birds could set the stage for trouble. If you're unsure about a plant, keep it in a container. That way its habits are more easily monitored and you'll feel better about it living in your oasis. Tropical Garden Design Links Best Gardening.com http://www.bestgardening.com/bgc/design/...
