Gardening is always an experiment to me. If you don't know if something will work or not, try it and see. But remember, to attempt it on a smaller scale in case you hurt the plants. Let's say you have this idea that mixing good old vegetable oil with water and maybe a teaspoon of soap will stop all pests. You spray all your plants and the next day, they are burned or wilting. Oil can clog plant pores and prevent plant processes from occuring. Soap can burn leaves if you use too much or too strong a formula. But had you tested it on a couple plants first, you may have saved all your other plants. So when trying new pest control ideas for fall, test a small area first. Be careful out there, and happy fall gardening! Go To Page: 1 2
