When an adult gardener was seen working in the garden, the sense of scale would be destroyed. I will end this article on that note because it supports my basic point of view that all humans have a human sense of scale. As long as you keep that in mind, you should be able to avoid design problems in your garden. I have finally covered the 6 principles of design - balance, proportion, rhythm, contrast, dominance and scale. In my next article I will conclude this series by trying to explain how the principles of design all work together.
