Principles of Design - Rhythm
The symmetrical structure gives this garden a very strong formal rhythm but this garden would be much less alive without its water features and the sound of the water gives the garden an audible rhythm that brings it even closer to music. Can you think of more ways to bring rhythm into gardens?
