While both going to and returning from the garden center a number of flocks of geese in ragged vee's went overhead, flying west. They knew where the Montezuma National Wildlife Refuge was. The geese were a sign that perhaps, maybe, hopefully it will again be spring. Hope springs eternal to a gardener. Another positive sign was the buckets on the sugar maple trees. The sap is flowing.
