Sydney Royal Botanic Garden: Down UnderSome Eucalyptus trees have a decidedly characteristic odor. I remember standing beneath one feeling immersed in cough drops. Take a first rate tour of the Sydney Botanic Garden without having to travel halfway around the world (apologies to our Aussie and Kiwi surfers). Inhale deeply. This web garden tour is the most inclusive of its kind I have seen. There are many paths and byways to explore, take them all. Near the end of one path is an example of Aussie humor, a "photograph" of the garden with downtown Sydney in the background. A large burnt patch in the foreground indicates from where the hovering flying saucer has just taken off. If after wandering through the botanic garden you wish to learn a bit more about Sydney and its surroundings, use this Visitors Guide.
