Review: Super Mario Advance
Even though there aren't very many levels in Mario Advance, there's plenty to do. They've added a feature in the game where you must collect five special coins in each level to get %100. Now don't be fooled, these things are in the smallest little corners, and require tactics to get. When you do get 100% in all levels, Yoshi's Challenge is unlocked. In this mode, you go through each level and look for two eggs which Yoshi has dropped for you, even more brain-twisting searching. Some people might enjoy the look and find games, but it surely ain't my bag baby. Luckily, Mario Advance also comes with the Mario Classic game as an extra. Even though this goes way back to 1983, retro gamers will have a blast with the extra feature. Multi-player As for multi-player, this is the part where Mario Advance shines. Using only one game pack, up to four players can duke it out in Mario Classics. Basically, you have to try to get the opponent killed by either tossing him at the enemy, getting him trapped or throwing something at him. There is also a multi-pack multi-player mode, but I am not sure what the it consists of. Final Word If you enjoyed Mario 2 previously, get this by all means if you want to play a replica of the Nintendo classic. Otherwise, anyone searching for something new and exciting look here, since there's plenty to do in this cartridge But don't get me wrong, you might learn to hate this game, so plan before investing. Score: 8/10
