Game Boy Color- some final games to look for

© Gregor Simeonov

Well, we have all heard about Game boy Advance (hopefully) and we're positive it's going to take the world by storm. Quickly we will forget about Game Boy Color and all of it's primitive games, compared to our new handhelds. However, there are still going to be releases for the GBC right up to the end of the year, and you definitely shouldn't forget about some of them. Here are a few titles you might want to consider, even if you do get a Game Boy Advance.

Kirby's Tilt n' Tumble: This is a game definitely worth considering because of it's originality. First of all, the excitement itself prevails when you realize it's a Kirby game for Game Boy Color. Moreover, this cartridge and game play includes the "tile function", which basically means that you title the Game Boy to which direction you want Kirby to go on the screen, very impressive. To make Kirby jump, you tug the Game Boy upwards, and voilĂ . Make sure you haven't lost your battery clip behind the Game Boy, because you will be shaking it quite a bit, especially if you want to triumph over those nasty bosses. Kirby's Tilt n' Tumble came out a month ago, and it's definitely worth the sale price.

The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons/Ages:The moment has finally arrived, the new Zelda series has just been released, after a full year of anticipation. There are two versions, Seasons and Ages, and I hear that if you want to fully complete one version of the game, you have to obtain a password given from the other version, a good marketing scheme to make you buy both. It is the same style of game play as Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening DX, except with a little more depth. There is also a special feature on each game if you play it with the Game Boy Advance, but none knows what it is yet. It's a classical RPG which you won't want to miss.

Magi-nation:Everyone was surprised by this title when it debuted a couple months ago. This is a turn-based fighting-style RPG that was made and developed by United States. It has some good depth, with plenty to do and splendid graphics. You might find it at stores for a bit cheaper than usual, so take advantage of their ignorance. You might also want to pick up some Magi-nation collecting cards.

Dragon Warrior III: Well, Dragon warrior I and II that made an appearance packed into one GBC cartridge a few months ago was a magnificent hut, with the original game play factors and excitement that was ported down from the old NES versions. Dragon Warrior II will offer the same great feeling of adventure, whether you will have to save the princess or retrieve an artifact. Dragon Warrior II has been released in Japan, and look out for the English version some time around July, 2001.
