I check the clearance toy section of Walmart from time to time to see what has been marked down to a great price (you can find some really good buys here!!!!) I also check thrift stores and yard sales. The only really remarkable item I have found to date was a raptor dinosaur hand puppet for my son who adores dinosaurs.
I do know that you can contact toy manufacturer's for replacement stickers and or parts for little or no cost if you are ambitious enough to scrub off the old stickers and replace them with new ones.
Never underestimate homemade gifts such as blankets, quilts, and wooden toys. Children will cherish these long after the holiday season has passed.
