Freebies Abound


The Internet has more free things available then you could possibly imagine. I freely admit that in the past I was a "freebie-aholic" and while I seriously considered starting a support group to free me from the grip of freebies, I decided being more selective would work just as well. (insert laugh here).

There are several things you will want to consider if you are going to take up the mantle of "freebie hunting." You will not need to train in the woods to acquire stealth, however I would set up a separate email account to use when signing up for free items. There are many benefits to being on mailing lists as you are kept abreast of what is going on at your favorite websites etc., however the down side is that the advertising mail that you receive can become great in number and overwhelm your personal mail. Hop on down to your favorite free email provider and sign up for an account today so that you are ready for the freebie safari.

You won't need to take jungle warfare 101 to be valuable to websites and/or companies either. They are wanting your demographic information. In this day and age of analyzing everything, demographic information counts for a great deal. Many places you may only submit the mandatory information and leave the optional information blank. Provide only information that falls within your comfort level. Do NOT underestimate the value of your private information. If you think that the amount of information required for a nominal freebie is excessive, TELL the company. Nothing ever changes if no one ever protests (consider this peaceful rebellion!).

Once you have exhausted my links in the free for all section (check her weekly as I will be adding to these) you can search the web on your own using any of the search engines you favor. Do not use the word "free" as this often results in many sites pornographic in nature. Be creative, use words such as complimentary, free gift, sample, special offer, etc. The possibilities are endless.

I can tell you from my personal experience that I did receive most of the items I signed up for or were promised to me as a result of taking a survey. The only exception would be the companies and/or websites that promised hats or T-shirts. I did not receive any of the shirts that were promised.
