How Can a Site About Vegetables be so Good for Homeschoolers?

Push aside that hamburger, get your fingers off that chicken and pick up a carrot stick to crunch down on this great source for homeschoolers. I was sitting with a group of homeschooling moms one day when someone mentioned reading about a homeschool issue on a site called Vegsource. Vegsource, I thought, doesn't sound like a homeschooling site. The next time I went online, though, I checked it out. I found an array of articles and interest for vegetarians but then on the discussions section (scroll down and look on the lefthand column) of the webpage I found a little homeschooling link. I clicked it and WOW! Here was an entire page of forums for classical education, special needs, humor, complaining, general communities of homeschoolers, military homeschoolers, unit studies, boards for teens, Charlotte Mason and more. Now what does all of this have to do with being frugal? This is the part that made my heart skip a beat...they have a very large used curriculum section. You can find curriculum for sale in three sections: Then if you can't find what you are looking for you can post your wants in the "Wanted to Buy" section. . If you want to sell some of your own curriculum then make sure you read Vegsource's posting guidelines to make the experience a positive one. If you find a resource you wish to purchase be sure to check out how the shipping will be handled. Is the cost of shipping the item worked into the price or will there be an additional fee? If the seller is shipping book rate it could take from one to six weeks to get to you. Vegsource suggests that the buyer and seller contact each other by email at each of these occurances. --when the buyer has sent a check; Now here's the good part, if you like hitting the bargain basement and digging through the clothes, or going to yardsales and sifting through old boxes to find treasures--now you can do it in the virtual world. I love to look at homeschooling catalogs and make a list of all I want to buy (If I were rich, you know). Then I go over to boards like these and look for things on my list! I don't find all of them but finding one is all I need!
