It doesn't get any better than this... Last weekend the French Quarter Festival this week the first weekend of the Jazz & heritage Festival!!!

The Festival is held Friday - Sunday, April 27th, 28th, 29th and Thursday - Sunday, May 3rd, 4th, & 5th on the infield of the Fairgrounds Race Course.

Along with 12+ stages and just about every kind of music you can imagine, the Festival also features an abundance of food crafts, and most importantly... FUN! This is the 32nd year of Jazzfest and it just seems to get bigger and better every year. Daily Tickets for the Fair Grounds are available at the gate but are cheaper if you buy in advance. Evening concert tickets range from $20 - $35. Workshops are free and open to the public but seating is limited. Tickets are available through Ticketmaster on line.

Can't get enough at the fairgrounds... The last few years have seen the music and fun of Jazzfest expand to the late night club scene - many clubs in the Quarter, Maringy, Mid City and Uptown have expanded their show times into the wee hours during Jazzfest, so check them out... The Funky Butt, The House of Blues, Tipitinas, , Howlin' Wolf, Donnas and many, many more...

One warning - This has become so popular that tickets and seats can be hard to find, but keep looking it is worth the trouble... The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation Inc., which presents the Jazz & Heritage Festival, is a nonprofit organization and it returns the proceeds from the festival to the community through grants and special projects to help preserve the New Orleans area music and cultural heritage.
