Part IV: Clean Up Time!!!! The Final Word!

Dear Reader,
It wasn't easy to tell you about this in a few words without it sounding like yet another Internet-Cry-Wolf which it truly isn't. What started as one article became four! Webmasters easily grasp the ramifications of what is happening & are very concerned but the net isn't just peopled with webmasters. It's the average computer user-surfer who is being conned. I hope I've explained this in a way that everyone can understand.

Please Note: I am NOT saying that every one of these programs DOES all of these things. I am simply telling you what they are CAPABLE of doing. It is still your right to install whatever you choose on your computer. It is also your right to know & understand what you are getting from these programs!!

Naturally, the other issue that is concerning webmasters is the unethical stealing of traffic & the display of advertising links & overlaid banners which the website has NOT approved or been paid for! Many websites are in financial trouble, my own included. Ad revenue has dropped by 90% in the last year because of falling ad rates. Where we were earning $3,000 a month we are now lucky to earn $300. Steal some more of that & we'll have two choices left; close the website OR charge you to view it!! Hundreds of webmasters are saying the same thing.

Please! Help keep your favourite websites FREE!
