If Dee Says...A new freebie looks interesting it usually means it's out of the ordinary and very interesting If such a "notification" arrives in the form of a very fancy looking E-mail (despite the fact that her computer is right next to mine) it often means that what she is playing with is a new E-mail client program. I refer from time to time to "Holy Grail" type searches and in Dee's case it invariably applies to this type of software... there must always be a greener and more pleasant one just on the other side of the next Internet hilltop. Such was the case the other day when the latest personalised message dropped into my inbox. "Welcome to IncrediMail. Email has finally evolved! IncrediMail is an advanced email program that offers you, the user, an unprecedented interactive experience. With IncrediMail you can tailor your emails according to your mood and personality. Visual effects will entertain your every sense. Go ahead. Express yourself like you never did before!" My good lady wife is never one to miss an opportunity to both express and indulge herself when it comes to computers and multimedia capabilities. If there be fairies and assorted little people at the bottom of the garden why not in messages as well. Animated of course. In one form or another Incredimail seems to offer virtually all these special effects plus lots of other options as well. I say "seems" because I'm strictly a meat & potatoes guy when it comes to sending messages... it's that peasant streak in me coming out again. The people at Incredimail appear however to also have a message for the likes of me in what strikes me as a slightly apologetic tone. "It is only natural that in some cases plain text email is the most appropriate to send. With IncrediMail the choice is in your hands, from plain text emails to more extravagant ones." One almost unique feature that even caught my eye was the ability to capture your own handwritten signature... very cool. There's plenty more to check out on their What Is page and there is also an online demo to have a look at. If you're the type to not only reach out and touch somebody but to throw in arms and legs as well then this program could really make your day... and hopefully their's as well. See you next week.
