Feedback

that pane. The first screenshot shows what the window looks like at the moment, with the list of available mails selected. The mails in the project shows here and they can be opened by doubleclicking them. My idea is that a project should contain a single mailing list e.g. one database, several mails and information about sent mailings. Also the sender's email address and account information will be specific to the project only, so these can have different values for each project. A bit like different accounts in OE.

The second screenshot is a modified picture of what I plan to do with the "sent" tab. There will be one entry for each sent mailing, these entries can be expanded and each recipient will then show. This should give a much more readable overview. I'd like to hear your comments on this way to do it.

SUGGESTION - Since the list is displayed in Fletmail name, e-mail it would be consistent and useful to display the SENT list the same

Example: imagica@xxxxxxx.xxx would be brian imagica@xxxxxxx.xxx

>Yes I know. I was in a hurry when I made it and the only reason for it was that technically it was faster to implement it like this.

QUESTION - If the Mails sent to: is blank that means there wasn't a message mailed?

>Yes if you somehow start a mailing and none of the mails get sent successfully this would result in a blank entry. For example if you only have a single recipient and the email address is invalid this would probably make a blank entry.

OBSERVATION - Then I found the program was locked up when I tried to go back to the list. Exiting and re-starting Fletmail allowed me to re-enter the last message.

>There is an old bug that will make FletMail lock up if the connection to the server could not be established".

I've included this dialogue to emphasise again the point that Barry is making. As users we should let authors know when we use and appreciate a good program. Equally, an author should respond when they receive the feedback they're looking for. My experience is that most do and in fact some have become almost friends. The above conversation is a good example of how attentive some authors can be.

My thanks again to Barry.

See you next week.
