Reaching Out
To make a point, this is the actual guest book page and you will see it's full of similar messages searching for family and friends. The closer you can start a search to a home town or last known location the better the chance of striking gold.
There are zillions of "people find" pages and sites out there. Here's one I picked quite at random from a search on Infoseek. Many seem to want to charge you... your own time costs you nothing.
