Telepathy, Psychical Phenomena, and the Fourth EstateIt is accepted among the scientific community that streams of energy effect the physical body. That they swing it to activity of some kind or other. The nature and power of whatever type of energy may dominate the etheric body at any particular time-or whatever type of energy may dominate the globular mind at any particular time-may, in essence, rend your "intuitive storylines." There are rational scientific applications that can be brought to bear regarding the writer, the Fourth Estate, and mental intuition. Alice Bailey, an early 20th Century theosophist, author, and scientist wrote, "The highest type of telepathic work possible to humanity is that form of communication which has been responsible for all the inspirational writings of real power (e.g.: the world Scriptures, the illumined utterances, the inspired speakers, and the language of symbolism). It only becomes possible where there is an integrated personality, and, at the same time, the power to focus oneself in the soul consciousness. The mind and the brain have, at the same time, to be brought into perfect rapport and alignment." We all know of literary and technical writing movements. Those illusive episodes where the art of writing becomes a unified expression enacting significant social and philosophical change, sometimes religious fervor as well. These creative currents often arrive from multitudes of sources where variant pieces of complex puzzles come together forming miracles. Typically the pieces of these puzzles arrive from diverse beginnings and it is hard-reaching to form a distinct explanative on their results. In the early 1990s the term synergy came to describe these phenomena. Synergism moves humanity a step beyond the ideology of coincidence to the realm of transcendentalized community, residing outside the confines of continent, state, or country; hinged somewhere on the spectrum of relational energy. Dr E. Lester Smith, scientist and theosophist, in his book Inner Adventures, states:
"It has been speculated that telepathy might involve electromagnetic radiation at some wavelength beyond the wide spectrum already mapped out, literally brain waves. But distance does not seem to impede telepathy; the inverse square law for the propagation of electromagnetic radiation does not apply. Alternatively, we might create "thought forms" in some mental medium and send them deliberately or unconsciously to the recipient. But if individual minds are already united within a universal Mind, then links already exist and no special mechanism need be envisaged. It should be necessary only to lower the barriers we erect in the vain attempt to keep our thoughts private. These could be lowered by love and empathy and by understanding the true nature of the situation. In practice it is not so simple. In the course of evolution we have put a lot of effort into creating and maintaining these barriers, so that they are quite strong. For telepathy, not one but two of them must be lowered or penetrated: those of the sender and those of the recipient of the thought."
