This in the few cases where it does escalate in this manner would be true. But lets be serious here. There is a lot of sick people out there. A lot of them do not get proper treatment. And most of them do not become serial killers.

Even in layman's editorials and related material I cannot stress the importance of watching how you say things. All the criticisms above I am certain the author would agree with. It was most likely written that way for effect. However, we work in an area of much public interest. And when a impressionable public is involved we must be careful not to promote unfair stereotypes and false statements. We can be exciting enough without them.
