WHAT IT IS: The South of England Show, patron the Queen is the major agricultural Fair in England's South East. The Queen visits the Show on 6 June, escorted by a troop of her Household Cavalry. As well as livestock and show-jumping, horticulture, antiques and crafts are major draws.

GETTING THERE: Exit the M23 at Junction 10 and take the A264 towards East Grinstead transfering onto the B2028 and following the signs thereon. The nearest rail stations are East Grinstead and Haywards Heath, a short journey from London Victoria. Nearest airport is Gatwick, 15 minutes.

The Three Counties Show

WHAT IT IS: Run by the 200-year-old Three Counties Agricultural Society, this is one of the most respected of the
rural shows of the shires, attracting pedigree livestock and
their bucolic owners. The Society also runs a Spring
Gardening Show (May), Championship Dog Show (second
week June), and an Autumn Garden & Country Show(September) at their Great Malvern Showground. This is one of England's most exclusive and refined rural areas.

GETTING THERE: The showground lies just south of Great Malvern, between Cheltenham and Worcester, 8 miles
from the M5 and M50 (leave at junction 2) motorways.

Wyche Keep is a remarkable family-run country house built

Stanley Baldwin (Prime Minister during the Edward VIII
