NEW!19 May. The Royal Windsor Horse Show The annual Royal Windsor Horse Show celebrated the Queen's Golden Jubilee and its own Diamond Jubilee with a spectacular climax of pageantry last night. The Queen, who is the Show's Patron with the Duke of Edinburgh, its President, attended a 1,000 horse pageant and recreation of the coronation parade; a pageant that will go down as the biggest outdoor performance in these Golden Jubilee celebrations.

The Queen and Prince Philip always attend the Royal Horse Show in the park beneath the Windsor Castle walls. It is very much their event and they are seen at their most relaxed during their attendance, (the Prince was pictured this week scootering about the arenas on a small motorbike, PA Photos). Her Majesty knows many of the equestrian participants and enjoys personally presenting many of the prizes. Her husband Prince Philip is a strong competitor in the British Horse Driving Association's International Three-Day Driving Event which runs in tandem in Home and Great Park. Highlight of today, Sunday is the BHDA Concours d'Elegance which parades in front of the Royal Box. Full Story: BBC. Windsor
