London Right Now

Sales Fever
The London Sales are on. Like most men I hate Sales time. But they are here and I can't ignore them. Most West End stores opened for Sales on 27 December. This year's rush was unprecedented. Selfridges of Oxford Street counted over 100,000 passing through their doors before 5 PM. I am glad to say no loss of life or limb was reported in the stampede!

There are good bargains to be found this year that may even bring me reluctantly out from cover. Fortnum & Mason of Piccadilly are offering 50% reduction on some cookware, china, men's and children's wear. John Lewis of Oxford Street with Peter Jones of Sloane Square, (branches thoughout England), offer up to 50% off some bath linen, furniture and soft furnishings, cookware, china and glass. They are also offering a good selection of quality 'seconds' and special purchase items. Bond Street fashion shops, such as Chanel at 26 Old Bond Street, are enticing the ladies with up to 50% discounts on accessories. In New Bond Street Calvin Klein and Emporio Armani are slashing three figure numbers off selected men's suits and ladies' coats.

Burberry commence their sale on 2 January at No.21 New Bond Street and nationwide with 50% discounts on selected items. Harrods commence their famous Sale on 2 January with discounts of up to 50% and further discounts to account holders on Saturdays through January. They also offer 75% discount in their Fashion clearance room.

All stores mentioned above are listed in my link library. For Bond Street shops not listed are accessable within my
