On 29 November Her Majesty will confer an honorary Knighthood on Rudi Giuliani, Mayor of New York, for his services to humanity and the injured and bereaved British citizens following the Manhattan massacre of 11 September. The Mayor is something of a hero in UK and Londoners can be expected to give him a hero's welcome to their city.

Cultural Events
Fine Art Galleries, London
There are a number of exciting Fine Art exhibitions currently showing in London during November. I admire Peter Kuhfeld's rich and joyful painting of rural England and Italianate vistas of Venice and Florence and always look forward to his annual one-man show at the Patterson Gallery. This year's show is typically full of colour, light and shade. I strongly recommend a visit.
The Royal Society of Miniature Painters, Sculpters and Gravers, (est. 1895, Patron The Queen), holds its annual Members' exhibition in the Westminster Gallery during November. A visit will show how the inspiration of the great Elizabethan miniaturist Nicholas Hilliard remains undimmed.
