Racing in Scotland

Highlight of the flat racing season in Scotland is the Ayr Gold Cup run at the course's Western Meeting in September. This 6 furlong sprint run at the Western Meeting on 20 September this year is one of the most competitive sprints in the Flat Racing calendar. It attracts large crowds from all over the country to this picturesque West Coast town. The meeting not only provides excellent racing but also an opportunity to see the beautiful Ayrshire coast at its best as autumnal shades begin to appear.
