Aluminum Cans

Okay...when my sister hasn't raided my recycle bin for aluminum cans to pay her bills ($$ for cans in Michigan), I tend to have plenty of fresh crafting materials. Grab those aluminum cans and create some works of art, you might want to say - trash to treasure.

Tin Can Luminary
In the summer, a nice luminary hanging outside on the porch makes it all the more inviting.

Country Can
A little paint and some odds and ends create the perfect pencil holder to gift basket.

Can Candle
With some creativity and some tin snips, you can add a bit of flair for a lovely candleholder.

Popcorn Seat
Think big when you add some padding to a popcorn tin for a kiddie seat.

Leather Set
Or go sophisticated with a little leather. Don't like the leather look? How about ribbon and lace?

Pop Can Critters
Mrs. Hogue's class used their creativity to design ornaments in various critters.

Start looking at the cans in your trash a different way. Peel the labels off the veggie, soup and tuna cans.....carve some wings from a soda pop can.
Soda Plane

Just don't forget to recycle.

Next month...... Styrofoam!
