Apple Stamping

Slice an apple in half from top - down, instead of from side to side. Leave any seeds intact and use the half in which the stem remains. Pour a small amount of red acrylic paint into a shallow container, and dip the cut side of the apple into the paint. Make sure that the paint covers the entire surface of the apple, and press the apple onto paper. Allow the paint to dry and use your apple print paper for everything from stationary to framed artwork! If you use fabric paint, press your apple prints onto t-shirts or other articles of clothing. Follow paint instructions to make your clothing washable.

Apple Cinnamon Ornaments

1 cup applesauce
1 oz Cinnamon
1 oz Grd. cloves
1 oz Grd. nutmeg
1 oz Grd. ginger

Mix the applesauce and cinnamon together to form a stiff dough. Roll out to 1/4-inch thickness and cut out shapes with cookie cutters.
Make a small hole for a ribbon hanger with a straw near the top of each ornament. Carefully place on a rack to dry. Let air dry for several days, turning occasionally. These ornaments are sweet smelling and add a great aroma to any kitchen.
