Classic album rating 4.75 (Content 5, Musicianship 5, Impact 5, Test of time 4) In their 35 or so years in the music business the Fairports have been through many changes and have had many highs. They are still going strong with regular touring and the marvelous annual Cropredy Festival. The following two websites give lots of current information: the official website - http://www.fairportconvention.co.uk/ and a fan's forum - http://www.musikfolk.com/expletive-delig... Their follow-up album to Liege and Lief was Full House and some may disagree with my choice preferring the latter release recorded after the departure of Sandy Denny and Tiger Hutchings and the introduction of Dave Pegg. Let me know what you think - was Liege and Lief the classic Fairport album? And what would be your suggestions for the definitive folk collection?
