Fruits

½ cup of orange juice

In blender combine yogurt, skim milk powder and orange juice; blend until smooth

Banana-Berry Wake-Up Shake

1 banana

1 cup fresh or frozen berries (any combination)

1 cup milk or vanilla-flavoured soy beverage

¾ cup yogurt (vanilla or another complimentary flavour)

In a blender, liquefy fruit with a small amount of the milk. Add remaining milk and yogurt; blend until smooth. If shake is too thick, add extra milk or soy beverate to achieve desired consistency.

When bananas start to get brown, put them in the freezer and use them for your smoothie shakes. Frozen sliced bananas make your smoothies creamy.

Make frozen fruit juice bars as a healthy subsitute for popsicles. Try freezing your grapes. Frozen grapes taste like candy and kids love them. Prepare a big bowl of fruit salad and have it readily available for a quick healthy snack or desert.

Add fruits (berries, diced apples, diced peaches) in your cereal, pancake/waffle mix and yogurt.

Make sure you wash all fresh fruits and vegetables thoroughly with running water before cooking or serving them. This will remove soil, bacteria and any chemical residues that might be present. Do not use soapy water because soap leaves a residue.
