A paramedic reflects the feeling of a heart felt humane deed,
when called to serve another in their hour of great need.
Their missions always grim and their training may take years, expecting no glory and least of all cheers.
There are no boundaries on gender or the shade of ones skin.
They're a dedicated group people and fraternal from within.
Often working hand-in-hand with fire and police, they always serve their neighbors, as often several others.
Their movements are precise; tending a victim is often very swift,
when lives are in peril, their presence is a valued gift.
Unique is their concern for saving a fading life,
a God-given call in this age of apathy and despair.
It's a labor of love, which often is given little credit...
Always there when you need them...........the Paramedic and their crew.
Here's a quick poem for all to read and enjoy while I muster up a real article. I apologize to all my readers for the low volume of articles I have written in the past. I have just recently complete my Critical Care Technician class and passed the New York State Department of Health exam with flying colors. To me it felt like those nine months would never end. So now that I am done with that, I have decided to complete the Paramedic course, which entails another 12 months of my time. SO hopefully out of that will come many more articles for you to read. I am hoping to start writing more firefighting related articles also. I just need to know if there's any topic that interests you or if I should just keep writing articles as they roll form my brain. But besides completing my latest ems class, I have been busy with the fire department, the HAZMAT team and the rope rescue team. Oh, I have also started my new full time job running Advanced Life Support with my home county. Hopefully here in the near future I will have some better reading for you, my readers. You have been very faithful through the years and hope to keep it that way. I have several ideas on some very good articles, I just need to find the right words, so I can place them on paper. Just bear (or is it bare? LOL) with me and you'll see some good things start to happen here at the topic of firefighting, which would be better if it were named EMERGENCY SERVICES. So tell all your friends about me and I will see you next month, if not sooner.
