Occupational and Environmental Medicine (OEM) is the discipline concerned with the health and function of people at their places of work, and the impact of industrial activities and products on the health of workers, consumers and the public. Today, organizations of every kind rely on corporate medical departments as well as on outside OEM consulting practices to ensure their operations and products pose no unacceptable risks to human health or to the environment.

The Occupational Physicians Scholarship Fund (OPSF) provides stipends to worthy physicians to cover their OEM residency positions. And it has fostered the growth of a talented leadership cadre in occupational and environmental medicine whose skills achievements and level of commitment is moving the entire field forward. Having funded over 120 scholarships over the past decade, OPSF has allowed 28 residency programs around the country to sustain or expand specialty training.

The OPSF presence on the World Wide Web gives potential scholarship applicants and other interested individuals access to the goals of the Fund as well as to information for seeking scholarship funding. Questions or comments about the Fund or this Site may be forwarded to OPSF via email at Info@opsf.org, by calling our Schiller Park, Illinois office at (847) 671-1926, or by writing to OPSF, 9950 W.
