The mission of the Hispanic College Fund is to develop a new generation of educated Hispanic business leaders in America through scholarship. HCF will accomplish this mission by securing the funds needed to award financial assistance to deserving Hispanic students seeking to afford a higher education in business, enabling them to meet the career demands of today's job market and entrepreneurial arena.

To be eligible for consideration for a scholarship from the Hispanic College Fund, Inc., students must meet the following criteria:

1. Must have been accepted or be enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student at an accredited institution of higher education actively pursuing an academic discipline leading to a career in business. Students enrolled in community or junior colleges are eligible to apply provided they intend to enroll in and obtain a bachelor degree from a four-year institution. Acceptable majors include: Finance Management Communications Computer Science Industrial Engineering Economics Marketing International Business Human Resources Multimedia Production Architecture Psychology Accounting Management Information Systems Business Administration Information Technology Computer Science Engineering Electrical/Mechanical Engineering

2. Must be in good academic standing with a Cumulative GPA of 3.00 or better on a 4.00 scale. 3. Must provide evidence of financial need. (Students who come from families with incomes at or below 60% of the area's median family income, based on family size.) Certification by a college or university's office of student financial aid is required. 4. Must be a U.S. citizen of Hispanic origin residing in either of the fifty states or U.S. territories. 5. Close consideration will be given to students who can demonstrate leadership qualities as defined by a record of involvement and participation in extra curricular activities on their college campuses and/or in civic activities in their local communities. Applicants shall provide this information in Part II of the application. Eligibility Criteria for Scholarship Applicants To be eligible for consideration for a NHFA Entertainment Industry Scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

1. Must have been accepted or be enrolled as a full-time graduate student at one of the following universities: New York University, Columbia University, Yale University, the University of California at Los Angeles, and the University of Southern California. The minimum credit load for which a student must enroll and successfully complete in order to be considered a full-time student defines full-time status. The university in which the student is enrolled determines full time status. The scholarship program seeks applicants who are pursuing disciplines leading to careers in the entertainment arts and industry. These disciplines include, but are not limited to: Acting; Theater; Radio & Television, Film; Music; Set Design; Costume Design; Lighting Design; Motion Picture Production; and Playwriting.
