First is the Hispanic Scholarship Fund. This scholarship totals $1,000 and is given to undergraduate students in any field who maintain a GPA of 3.0 or above. This student must also be a US citizen of Hispanic decent, and be enrolled full time in the academic institution of their choice.
The 4A San Francisco Bay Area Scholarship program is a $1,000 award given to Asian/Pacific American undergraduate students. The students must also be US Citizens and enrolled full time in the education facility of their choosing.
The Adolph Van Pelt Scholarship is an award given to undergraduate or graduate students of Native American heritage. The award totals $3,200, but can be less, because it is based upon financial need and the individual student's merit.
The American Association of Japanese University Women Scholarship is an award open only to female students enrolled in California colleges or universities. The award totals $1,000, and eligibility is based upon the student's graduation date and the ability to attend the award ceremony at their expense.
The Chemical Society Scholars Program is awarded to any student showing merit and financial need; however, preference is given to minorities. The award ranges from $2,500 to $5,000. To be considered, the student must possess a strong academic record, and interest in science, with intent to pursue a career in a chemically related science.
The California Japanese American Alumni Association Scholarship is a $3,000 award given to American citizens of Japanese ancestry. Eligibility is contingent upon these factors: 1. The student must be returning to graduate or undergraduate studies at a California College or university. 2. The student must NOT have received a scholarship from CJAAA totaling $1,000 or more at any time in the past.
