the work hours are limited to about 10 hours per week, providing the student with time to earn and time to learn as well.

Assistantships provide eligible students with a tuition waiver on a full or partial basis, and require the student to perform teaching or research duties in return. This type of aid is only relevant to graduate students, but is something to consider.
