ABC recently aired their coverage of the ISU Grand Prix: Trophee Lalique from Paris, France. I managed to catch the Men's and Ladies Free Programs, and have the results for you. As you might remember, the Grand Prix events are hosted by Terry Gannon, Peter Carruthers and Susie Wynne. For the men's program, Ryan Jahnke of the USA skated first. His musical selection was a collection of Indian music. Next was Roman Serov of RUS, skating to the musical, Chess. Next was Alexei Yagudin, skating to the Gladiator soundtrack, followed by Stanick Jeannette of France, and skating to concerto for violin. The results were: 1, Alexei Yagudin (RUS), 2, Stanick Jeannette (FRA), and Roman Serov (RUS). The Ladies free program was aired next, with Victoria Volchkova of Russia skating first. Her musical selection was Free Yourself. Next was Jenny Kirk of USA, skating to the Nutcracker. Next was Maria Butyrskaya skating to Seventeen Moments in Spring, followed by Jennifer Robinson of Canada to Irish Rhapsody, and finally Vanessa Gusmeroli of France to Joan of Ark. The results were: 1, Maria Butyrskaya (RUS), 2, Victoria Volchkova (RUS), 3, Jenny Kirk (USA), 4, Vanessa Gusmeroli (FRA), and 5, Jennifer Robinson (CAN). The last event in the Grand Prix will air on ABC from Asahikawa, Japan. I will have the results of this competition soon.
