On Sunday, Nov. 19, 2000, ABC aired the Men's and Ladies Long Programs for the ISU Skate Canada: Grand Prix. Presented by Terry Gannon, Peter Carruthers and Susie Wynne, this event was held in Missisauga, Ontario at the Hershey Center and sponsored by MCI Worldcom.
Each long program was 4 1/2 minutes long, and comprised of 2/3 of the final score. The remaining 1/3 of the score came from the results of the short program. Skating first was Todd Eldredge of the USA, followed by Takeshi Honda of Japan, Matt Savoie of the USA, Ben Ferreira of Canada, and Alexei Yagudin of Russia. Finishing in first was Alexei Yagudin, followed by Todd Eldredge, Matt Savoie, Ben Ferreira, and lastly Takeshi Honda. The judges were: JPN, CAN, GBR, GER, RUS, FRA, CAN, HUN, and USA.
Skating first for the Ladies was Deanna Stellato of the USA, followed by Galina Maniachenko of Ukraine, Fumie Suguri of Japan, Michelle Kwan of the USA, Jennifer Robinson of Canada, and Irina Slutskaya of Russia. The judges were: UKR, USA, GER, RUS, CAN, JPN, GBR, HUN, and DEN. Finishing if first was Irina Slutskaya, followed by Michelle Kwan, Fumie Suguri, Jennifer Robinson, Deanna Stellato, and Galina Maniachenko.
