Spring 2005 Cross Training Part II101: How many hours a week do you spend in "the saddle" or how many hours do you train each day? Garlapow: I spend anywhere from 6 to 26 hours on the bike per week. 6 hours would be a rest week and 26 hours would be a big training week probably in the early season. Each day is different. Some days I practice climbing, some days I practice sprinting and other days are just easy rides to rest up and recuperate. Suite 101: What type of Terry cycling equipment do you ride and why? Garlapow: Each rider on Team Terry rides the Terry FASTWOMAN. It's an awesome ultra foco steel frame nicely outfitted with Dura Ace components and Cane Creek wheels. It's a stiff light ride and we love them! Suite 101: What do you see in the future for Team Terry? Garlapow: We are always hoping to grow the team to be able to support more riders. It's always a matter of searching for more cash sponsorship to be able to expand the team. If anyone out there is interested in supporting an incredible team of eager female cyclist, let us know! Visit http://www.terrybicycles.com I really enjoyed interviewing these two amazing women and have to agree, cycling is a great cross training exercise, a way to get fit and healthy and STAY that way!
