Rain, last weekend it rained for at least 24 hours, when it ended mid-morning Sunday, it felt like a mid-Fall morning, heavy clouds, strong winds and about 5 Celsius. This has not been a good growing season and it seems that we are not going to get a warm break as it ends.
One of the reasons that rats thrive in an urban environment is the monutains of garbage that humans produce. They receive a veritable smorgasbord plus shelter and nesting material. We have created rat havens in our cities. There is a direct relationship between waste, which includes food waste, and the rat population that infets a city. The sewers are not the only place rats inhabit, although they do give them a convenient transportation system. Rats will move into your house and gladly enjoy the food remains you leave about or most other garbage for that matter. Go To Page: 1
