Last week when I visited my family doctor, he suggested that it was time for me to buy a glucometer and regularly test my own blood sugars. My family, on father's side, has a history of diabetes and while my regular blood tests weren't abnormal, the results were high enough to suggest that it would be prudent to check on things.
