A New Journey BeginsComposting not only reduces the waste that is available for the pests' dinner. It provides soil, good healthy soil for your garden which in turn produce s food for your table. It becomes a win-win situation. You not only reduce waste and its accompanying pests but you produce food; healthy, food for you and your familybef we expand composting into a food reclamation program then we begin to reduce food waste on a community level. Food waste from restaurants can be collected not as waste but as reusable commodities. It is possible to produce food for livestock from restaurant food and if the quality of the food that is leftover is not high enough for animal use, it can then be composted and sold. There just may be a food-based enterprise in restaurant food waste. Happy Journey.
