The 74 ha park offers a range of recreational opportunities, including a playground, supervised swimming at a sand beach, canoeing, kayaking, paddle boating and windsurfing, as well as sailing lessons. A 5 km (3 mile) trail circles the lake and passes over the Black Bay Bridge, the first single spandrel, reinforced concrete bridge ever constructed (1910).

Walking helps me shed calories while I do it but the rise in my metabolic rate continues for sometime after I return home. It takes longer for me to hunger and when I do, I am readily satisfied. So I eat less.

Walk as often as you can. Set a simple goal at first. Say 15 minutes three times per week and then gradually expand that goal. If you want buy a pedometer and measure your walks. Get yourself outside and enjoy.
