I believe that our families and friends can be more supportive, and having him write this short article is the beginning of more understanding for both of us. It is not a tool to argue with him, but rather a tool in which to teach him. I have learned a lot from what he wrote about what his needs are, and I do see a glimmer of understanding. A door has been opened and hopefully it will remain open.
