Faces of Fibro: Interview with Deanna Couras Goodsonto cope or to even commiserate. I think it's good for spouses, children and other family members and close friends of people with these conditions to read as it will give greater insight into what the person they care for is really going through, all the things that person may NOT be able to explain. What makes this e-book unique compared to other e-books or information on the Web? GREAT Question. I think there's other compilations out there that are similar. However, what sets ours apart is the true brutal honesty and the raw human-ness of the piece. These are people, including myself, who spilled their guts and shared stories that NO ONE else could ever know about them. I thank all my co-authors for entrusting me with this information. They're awesome people and my dear fibro friends. What was your main goal in compiling this e-book, and what is the most important aspect that you hope readers will take away with them? I want readers to see that we are real people with real lives and are living with a real illness. We're not crazy. Not hypochondriacs, just people trying to adapt and live positive, rich and full lives with some severe limitations (in some cases). I wanted the people who had this illness to feel vindicated - YES, YOU ARE SICK. YES, IT'S REAL. You are NOT crazy and I wanted those who say those things to them to say, "Hey, maybe I was wrong." I want it to be a bridge of understanding. At least, I hope so. I understand that you are donating 50% of the proceeds from sales to the Million Letter Campaign. Please tell our readers about the campaign, and why you feel it's a worthy cause. I did donate 50% of the proceeds from sales during February, March, April and May. I think that the Million Letter Campaign's goal to get letters written was amazing. I know they're continuing with different projects; but, I'm no longer affiliated with the MLC directly. I wish them well; but, they want to do more things that I don't have the time or energy right now to do. If you're interested in the MLC, check out: or contact Pattie Caprio, the founder, at ivorycgd@noln.com.
