International Association for the Study of Pain: ..." the largest multidisciplinary international association in the field of pain. Founded in 1973, IASP is a non-profit professional organization dedicated to furthering research on pain and improving the care of patients with pain."

American Pain Society: "The mission of the American Pain Society is to advance pain-related research, education, treatment and professional practice."

Pain Net, Inc.: "Over 65 million Americans suffer some form of pain at any given time, and 90% of all diseases are associated with pain at a cost estimated at more than $120 billion per year. In 1990, PAIN NET, INC. was founded by physicians, educators, and business professionals to address a "flagship" approach to pain management that would train physicians and healthcare professionals in treating patients in a more comprehensive manner."

American Academy of Pain Management: An excellent resource for patients and professionals. If you are in pain - then this is the site for you. Be sure to check out their comprehensive list of links to other resources as well.

Chronic Pain and Illness Life - Line: This is an extensive site with a multitude of information on chronic pain, diseases, and conditions (including FM, CFS, and many others). This site includes a discussion list, message board, chat rooms, links, resources, and so much more. It is updated frequently.

Pain Management: Busy woman, Joan Murphy, provides an excellent resource page on pain management. You'll find lots of links to related articles and valuable information here.

North American Chronic Pain Association of Canada (NACPAC): This is non-profit, volunteer, charitable organization in Canada that is dedicated to helping chronic pain sufferers. Provides information, resources, articles, newsletters, and much more.

American Chronic Pain Association (ACPA Home): ... the best pain site on the web! "...offering support and information for people with chronic pain. To facilitate peer support and education for individuals with chronic pain and their families so that these individuals may live more fully in spite of their pain. To raise awareness among the health care community, policy makers, and the public at large about issues of living with chronic pain."
