Finishing: To finish you can either make an out side seam by crocheting or blanket stitching the two pieces together on the right side. I think this looks nicely ethnic. But if you want to use this for a helmet liner for re-enactment or Renaissance Fair you can graft the edges together. For an even more smooth fit make the piece whole (sort of like a giant sock) and work on double pointed or a circular needles.
